We?re back in the Hamptons this week, but can anyone even tell what season it is anymore? Everyone is dressing like its fall or winter, but Charlotte and Declan aren?t in school (maybe they?re too busy playing parents to Carl?). Anyway, details, details. On to our one sentence!
We begin with a flashback to child Amanda and child Jack having a pretend wedding on the beach, complete with rings made of pipe cleaners, and then suddenly we?re back in present day at Emily?s house with the pipe-cleaner ring she saved and the sad feelings she still has about really losing Jack?even though we know she now loves Aiden, and speaking of Aiden, he seems to have gone missing since receiving that video of his sister overdosing, but then he turns up as a surprise visitor in Nolan?s office to talk about the video and get some info on it, like the fact that it was actually made six years ago?but the good news is there?s a Con Ed meter in the background, which means Nolan can use the serial numbers to track it to a warehouse in Jersey City, where Aiden heads straight away, with Emily following, natch, meanwhile over at the Stowaway, Jack and Amanda are getting ready for their wedding and Conrad, Ashley, and Nate Ryan are getting ready to re-develop the waterfront area with casinos and condos, and over at Grayson Global, Helen is telling Daniel she wants to invest money in emerging volatile markets with unstable governments, which V overhears and knows this must be the Initiative?s first move on their new plan, so she does what V does best, which is to go to Conrad and then quickly instead decide that she should take matters into her own hands, and back at NolCorp, Nolan is having a chat with Padma about why she?s stealing the Carrion coding project from him, and since he pulled her NolCorp phone records, he knows that it must be because something has happened to her father, which he?s sure the Initiative has a hand in (turns out so far he?s right) and Padma comes clean (but can we trust her? Can we ever really trust Rebecca Logan?), and across the Hudson in a warehouse in Jersey City, Emily finds Aiden and some abandoned bedframes where Coleen overdosed and they also find a coroner?s report matching Colleen?s description, which makes Aiden very sad and prompts a little revenge-y compatriots emotional pep talk from Emily, but it doesn?t seem to work and Aiden storms off, which Emily can?t even really deal with because she has to save the Stowaway for Jack and also attend Jack and Amanda?s wedding, so she starts by giving Amanda a check to buy Conrad?s half of the Stowaway back from him?which it turns out Conrad is disinclined to accept, so Amanda steals Emily?s revenge computer and threatens Conrad with the videos she knows are on there with evidence of him framing David Clarke so he changes his mind, but now he thinks Amanda has been behind everything bad that?s happened to him lately, so his natural next step is to turn to Montauk Muscle Nate Ryan to ?fix? (read: KILL) his problem?but first it?s time for Jack and Amanda?s wedding, which Nolan officiates and Emily sits through, crying, but thank goodness Aiden shows up on a hill so she knows she?s not really alone, and speaking of not being along, V has a surprise visit from Helen Crowley, who is there to basically say, ?Make Daniel do what I want or I?ll kidnap him,? which doesn?t really sit too well with V, so she shoots Helen Crowley in the pool house, and meanwhile over on the Amanda, Jack and Amanda are sailing off to Nantucket for a honeymoon, except it looks like they have ominous and dangerous company on board in the form of Nate Ryan!?
So this week we have one murder, one impending boat accident, two weddings, two of the most boring teenagers ever, one strayed revenge-y partner returned with focus on the revenge-y plan at hand, and an undecided opinion of where Padma?s loyalties really lie.
