Monotony Adds RSS Feeds to Your Mac's Notification Center

OS X: If you want to be notified as soon as our favorite web sites are updated, Monotony is a simple, free solution for your Mac.

The app will check your specified RSS feeds every minute while it's running, and feed you a pop-up notification with the title and description of any new posts. This isn't a replacement for a real feed reader, but it's perfect for low-volume sites that you want to keep a close eye on. Monotony is very similar to previously-mentioned News Notifications, but it's free instead of $.99, and it will work in OS X 10.7 through Growl, if for some reason you haven't installed Mountain Lion.
