The pulse rate is then measured and displayed on the actual watch worn on the wrist. These types are often preferred over the fingertip sensor as they are more data enriched and signals are transmitted more instantaneously.
The other type of pulse watch is called the fingertip sensor. Though less popular, this type of heart rate monitor watch is considered the more comfortable one as the user is not required to wear any straps to gather his/her pulse rate. Instead, depending on the model, one should only press a button or two to gather the data. However, various studies have shown that data gathered by these types of pulse rate monitors are less accurate.
