TROY ? The Society of the Friends of St. Patrick has named four new members to its board of directors.
They are:
Thomas Blau: Born in Albany, Blau attended public schools in Albany as well as Russell Sage College, Albany Business College, and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He served in the United States Marine Corps, and is a Vietnam veteran. He is the former business manager of WNYT, where he worked for more than 30 years. Blau has three children.
Jim Elacqua: Elacqua is a project and business development manager for CD Perry, LLC, a heavy civil and marine contractor in Troy. He has an associate degree in civil engineering technology and has held various positions in the construction industry for the past 32 years in both Houston, Texas and the Capital Region. He is a past president and board member of Northeastern Subcontractors Association.
The new board member lives in West Sand Lake with his wife Melissa and is the father of Anthony of Los Angeles, California and Caitlin of New York City.
Rick Stegmann: Stegmann is the corporate director of information technology for the Center for Internet Security. His responsibilities encompass management of the organization's IT operations and supporting the center?s 24-hour cyber security operations center. Prior to joining CIS, Stegmann served as director of information technology at Activision/ Vicarious Visions. In addition, he has more than three decades of technology experience.
Stegmann serves on the advisory board for the Department of Hotel, Culinary Arts, and Tourism at Schenectady County Community College, where he co-developed the departments' Leadership Education Action Program, served as board secretary, and chaired fund raising activities to support the James G. Westervelt Fund and SCCC Foundation.
He is a lifelong Capital Region resident with two children, residing in Columbia County.
Fred J. ?FJ? Wobrock: A resident of Boston, Wobrock is a graduate of Catholic Central High School, Hudson Valley Community College Mortuary Science Program and The College of Saint Rose. He has earned both New York and Massachusetts state funeral director licenses and is the managing funeral director at the Gillooly Funeral Home in Norwood, Mass. While living in Troy, he worked for many Capital Region funeral homes, including John J. Sanvidge Funeral Home, Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, Parker Bros. Memorial, Doran Funeral Home, and McLoughlin & Mason Funeral Home.
Son of Fred and Pam Wobrock, he is on the board of directors of the Wellesley Chamber of Commerce, Norwood Rotary Club, Neponset Valley Chamber of Commerce, and the Society of the Friends of St. Patrick. Continued...
